Subscriptions and purchases
How do I restore my purchase on a new iPhone or iPad?
Make sure the device is signed in with the same Apple Account you used to subscribe. Then open the grown-ups area, tap the gear icon for Settings, and choose Restore purchases in the Subscription section. During setup you can also tap Already subscribed? Restore. Your child’s practice history stays on the old device, because Thinkling keeps everything on the device and has no accounts.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Thinkling and tap Cancel Subscription. You can also get there from the app: grown-ups area › Settings › Manage subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid the next renewal. If you cancel at least 24 hours before the weekly plan’s 3-day free trial ends, you won’t be charged.
Which plan has the free trial?
The weekly plan ($7.99 per week in the US) starts with a 3-day free trial. The monthly ($19.99) and yearly ($69.99) plans don’t include a trial. Prices may vary by country, and the price shown in the App Store before you confirm is the one that applies.
How do I ask for a refund?
Apple handles all payments, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Sign in with your Apple Account, find the Thinkling purchase and choose “Request a refund”. We can’t issue refunds ourselves, because we never see your payment details.
Does Thinkling support Family Sharing?
Yes. Family Sharing is turned on, so members of your Apple Family Sharing group can use your subscription on their own devices. Separately, up to 4 children can practice on one device with their own profiles.
Children, grades and tests
How do I add another child?
Open the grown-ups area and tap Add child next to your children’s names. Enter a first name (or nickname), choose an avatar, the grade on test day, the test and the test date. Up to 4 children can share one subscription, each with their own plan, garden and reports.
How do I change the grade, test or test date?
In the grown-ups area, open your child’s profile to edit Grade on test day, Test and Test date. You can change them anytime; the daily plan adjusts to the new date. The same screen lets you choose the length of the daily mission: 5, 10 or 15 minutes.
How do I remove a child’s profile?
Open the child’s profile in the grown-ups area and tap Remove. Their progress, garden and test reports are deleted from the device. This can’t be undone, because nothing is stored anywhere else.
Is the readiness estimate my child’s CogAT score?
No. The readiness estimate is a practice guide based on how your child does on Thinkling’s questions. It is not a CogAT score or percentile, and Thinkling does not predict test scores. Only the test publisher scores the CogAT. See how CogAT scores work.
Voice, sound and reminders
The questions aren’t read aloud. How do I turn the voice on?
Open the grown-ups area › Settings › Sound and turn on Read questions aloud. Children who can’t read yet need the voice on. The speaker button replays any question. Also check that the device isn’t muted and the volume is up.
Can I make the voice slower or turn off sound effects?
Yes. In Settings › Sound, choose a Voice speed (Slower, Normal or Faster), and switch Sound effects and Haptics on or off.
How do daily reminders work?
Reminders are optional. Turn on Daily reminder in Settings › Reminders and pick a time. Thinkling schedules the reminder on your device; we never send marketing notifications. If notifications are off for Thinkling, turn them on in the iOS Settings app.
Using Thinkling
Does Thinkling work offline?
Yes. Practice, explanations and practice tests all work without an internet connection. A connection is only needed to buy, restore or check a subscription.
Which devices are supported?
Thinkling runs on iPhone and iPad. The App Store page lists the minimum iOS and iPadOS version.
I think a question is wrong or confusing. How do I report it?
Every question is checked to have exactly one right answer, but we want to hear about anything that seems off. Take a screenshot (including the explanation, if you saw it) and email it to contato@meagiliza.app with your child’s grade. You can also use grown-ups area › Settings › Email support.
Are these real CogAT questions?
No. All questions are original, in the same formats as the test. CogAT® is a registered trademark of Riverside Assessments, LLC, which is not affiliated with, and does not sponsor or endorse, Thinkling.
